DAN + SHAY:
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney met in Nashville in December of 2012 and immediately started writing songs together. Within a few months, they signed a deal with Warner/Chappell Music. Less than a year after meeting, in October 2013, the duo released their first song, “19 You + Me,” which also became their first top ten hit. The album containing that hit, “Where It All Began,” was released April 1, 2014. 2014 saw the duo make their Grand Ole Opry debut, perform on Ellen, and receive a 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards Vocal Duo of the Year nomination. Now, in 2015, Dan + Shay will be headlining night # 1 of the WEZL “Party in the Park” Concert Series, courtesy of Warner Music Nashville. Expect terrific harmonies and great music, including their new single “Nothin’ Like You”

Kelsea Ballerini is from Knoxville, TN, but made the move to to Nashville, TN to chase her dream at age 15. At age 19, Kelsea signed a deal with Black River Publishing in 2013. Later that year, Kelsea inked a record deal with Black River Entertainment. Her debut single is the huge hit, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” which continues to climb the charts. That song is the first release from her debut EP that is available to download now. Kelsea came to Charleston this past November, and will be featured in the final episode of the Bravo reality show “Southern Charm.” Her debut album is schedule to be release on May 19th, just before her headlining performance at our “Party in the Park,” courtesy of Black River Entertainment.
John King knows all about playing live music, performing more than 150 shows a year, including regular visits to the Windjammer on the Isle of Palms. The University of Georgia student caught the ear of well-known Nashville songwriter/producer Doug Johnson, who signed John to a publishing deal in 2013 with Black River Records. WEZL introduced you to John’s debut hit “Tonight, Tonight,” last summer. That song is on his debut EP “On Your Lips” that’s available now. Get ready to be blown away by this seasoned performer, and up and coming country star, courtesy of Black River Records.

You know this Williamsburg, Virginia native from his current smash hit “Love You Like That” from his debut EP that is available now: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/id976240857 Upon his arrival in Nashville, Smith landed a publishing deal with Disney Music. His debut music on Mercury Nashville was produced by Dierks Bentley’s producer Brett Beavers. Not only has he written songs for his own EP, but Canaan Smith co-wrote Love and Theft’s top ten hit “Runaway” and co-wrote Jason Aldean’s “Black Tears” with FGL’s Tyler Hubbard. He’s spending his summer on the road with Dierks Bentley, but detouring to the Lowcountry to be a part of WEZL’s “Party in the Park,” courtesy of Mercury Nashville.

His uncles Jeff and Junior Bryant were the founders of the group Ricochet, best known for their 90s hit “Daddy’s Money.” His musical influences include Conway & Merle, plus Vince Gill, Tom Petty and Bryan Adams. This past summer, you heard his debut top ten hit “Take It On Back.” His new single you’re hearing on WEZL is the smash “Little Bit Of You.” He’s spending his spring and summer on the “Shotgun Rider Tour” with Tim McGraw and coming to the Lowcountry on June 23rd. CRAIG WAYNE BOYD:
December 16, 2014, Craig Wayne Boyd’s life changed forever. Thanks to your votes, he was named the winner of Season 7 of “The Voice.” A member of Team Blake, his debut single “My Baby’s Got a Smile On Her Face” debuted on number one of the Billboard County Singles Charts, a feature done only once before, by Garth Brooks. The Texas native has lived in Nashville for more than a decade, and will make his Lowcountry debut at “Party in the Park” courtesy of Dot Records.
LOCAL ACT: McKenna Andrews
As one half of the duo Sugarland, Kristian Bush has won 6 CMA Awards, 5 ACM Trophies as well as a pair of Grammys and an American Music Award. As his partnership with Jennifer Nettles has been on hold, he has release his first solo CD, “Sothern Gravity,” which contains the hit single “Trailer Hitch.” The Knoxville, Tennessee native is now a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and will be headlining the final night of the 2015 WEZL “Party in the Park,” appearing courtesy of Streamsound Records.
Her path to Nashville wasn’t a direct one, having started in Texas before detouring to California and then on to Tennessee, but it’s where Mickey Guyton calls home. Her first national TV performance was from our nation’s capital, broadcast on PBS as part of their “In Performance at the White House” series. Her debut single “Better Than You Left Me,” was USA Today’s “Song of the Week.” On January 10th, she made her Grand Ole Opry debut, and now she’ll make her Lowcountry debut as part of “Party in the Park.”
