On October 15, 1985, Windwood Farm Home for Children opened its doors to six boys in state custody as a residential treatment facility. At the farm, the boys would receive the intense therapy and care they needed to recover from trauma most often caused by abuse or neglect. Thirty-five years later, over 700 boys have called Windwood Farm home.
We could not continue our mission of providing help, hope and healing for children and families every day without the support of our donors, volunteers, staff, and countless others in the community. Every week for the next 8 months, we will be highlighting the stories of individuals and groups that have made an impact at Windwood over the years.
